Objectives:

• To encourage and promote the profound discussion of the experiences in privatization of the electric sector and its consequences in the different countries of the continent, to take advantage of this exchange of experiences to avoid the repetition of mistakes that have been made and optimize the transformations derived from the turn towards the free electric market.
• To encourage and promote the discussion of the incidence of incentives of energetic policies at state level for the development of hydroelectric resources and other natural resources facing thermoelectric investments, which are normally considered less of a risk because of market forces.
• To encourage and promote the discussion of the implications of the integration of the central american electric market.
• To learn about the experiences of the regional integration in the Mecosur area.
