The Final Stage
Preparations to hold the XXVII Hemispheric Insurance
Conference on October 24-27 are underway now in the final stage of organization. This
important meeting of more then 1000 high level representatives of the continent´s
insurance companies and obervers from the reinsurance and financial sector is sponsored by
the Inter American Federation of Insurance Companies -
Definite Agenda Adopted
Topics related to a new vision of the insurance enterprise,
its management, new products and marketing strategies, as well as the globalization and
internationalization of the industry and incursion in the capital markets, will be
discussed by expert international guest speakers.
Intense Business Activity Anticipated
The number of delegates registered so far and the
amount of exhibition stands and hospitality suites that have confirmed is already and
indication of the intense business activity that will take place during the Conference.
...and the Social Events
There will be ample opportunities for informal
contacts as well during the social events, which include the opening reception and the
closing dinner, both featuring a spectacular sampling of Panama´s cultural and historic
heritage and its traditional hospitality. Registered spouses will also enjoy a program of
visits to historic and cultural sites and shopping tours.
Important Dates to Remember
July 31. is the deadline for
registering wtih the advantage of reduced fees of $750.00 for member delegates, $950.00
for observers and $300.00 for spouses. On August 1 registration fees will
increase to $800.00 for member delegates, $1,100.00 for observers and $350.00 for spouses.
MAPFRE will provide free coverage
Through its international Assistance Program, MAPFRE
will provide free medical and hospital insurance coverage and urgent messages relay to all
registered participants.
